Hello one and all! I decided that I would share with you what we are doing at my camp. School is about to start in about 3 weeks and I am pumped. Unfortunately I have been wait-listed at the school that I really wanted to go to but that’s not going to stop by golly! 

Well My siblings and I are in love with YouTube. Now if you don’t know what YouTube is then you need to slowly lift up you rock and open you eyes. YouTube is a user fueled website that allows people to upload and share videos. YouTube to some people is a marketing strategy. OK GO released their first popular video on YouTube and it goes a little something like this:

So now that there is that I feel like it is my duty to show you how YouTube works.

Now I honestly don’t know but I do know that of right now that video up there has about 37,570,059 views that’s a guestimation though. Now how do these videos get so popular? Honestly I wish I knew but I guess in their case because they are a musical group that allowed their fans to get their muic video for free. But how do you explain the rational behind Gary Brolsma or the ‘NewNuma’ guy.

Now Gary Brolsma is just some chubby kid that decide to dance weirdly I might add in front of his video camera. Now I am not a hater but c’mon! I could do that. But then he got all fancy about it and got himself a green screen.

 

 

Now in case you didn’t notice those ‘Numa’ videos aren’t in English. The first one might MIGHT be in spanish but I heard that the second one is like romanian or something. I bet those songs have made so much more money because of Gary Brolsma. I mean think about it if you were a pop star in some obscure country ‘Breaking America’ would be the best thing that would ever happen to you. But I bet it would be even better if you have some kid like Gary Brolsma to start make videos out of your songs that are getting about 10 million hits.

What I am trying to say is that YouTube is a whole new world, Gary Brolsma and OK GO aren’t the only ones who have found success. There is Smosh, LonelyGirl, among others. But my question is what would YOUR alter ego be if you were a YouTube personality.
