Well I have to say that some commercials are going over board. For example the Slowskys. You know the talking turtles that like DSL because it’s mind blowingly slow and that’s just how they roll. The whole point is that you, as a person, don’t want to have slow DSL but you want Comcast. I mean the Slowsky’s are sooo last year but you the buyer is soo this year. There are tons of other great commercial campaigns so I took it upon myself to talk about their funniness. First Up Cingular:

So Cingular’s shtick is that they have the fewest dropped calls than any other carrier. Well they’ve gone to far with this. My new personal favorite is when this woman is on the phone with her husband and she says ” I wanted to wait until you got back from work but I just had to tell you. We’re pregnant!!!!” Her husband goes crazy and yells to everyone in the lobby “I’m gonna be a DADDY!!!!” but the call drops. Of course she’s kind of heart broken so she tries to make herself feel better by saying “Oh you’re speechless right? ” Wrong he’s just soo happy but you’re call drops. OH then there’s the commercial where this guy calls his girlfriend and starts talking about how he’s ‘The only man in her life.’ But then the call DROPS and like she’s smiling and making something but he thinks that he’s wrong so he said “Cat got your tongue? Earl got your tongue?” FUNNY!! Or when this girl goes to Vegas with her boyfriend and says “Mom guess what me and Kyle” I don’t think his name was Kyle but never mind “Went to Vegas.” Her mom responds “Oh honey well don’t get married. Ha Ha!” but of course the call drops and her mom freaks. “Jenny” or whatever her name was like “don’t make the same mistake I did. I regretted it my whole life.” That was a call I never want to have because I want a real wedding and I don’t want to go to a Vegas chapel and get married.

Well that’s all I’ve got right now. But I’ve got HUGE news. But I’m going to see Fall Out Boy in NYC on the Today Show so look out for pictures soon.

OK so I went to an etiquette class on.. well I guess yesterday (Wednesday) and  the class talked about thank you notes. A thank you is due for my Aunt Chanda. She is one of the only people who has commented regularly on my blog. So thanks Aunt Chanda. In that etiquette class I heard that you shouldn’t correct people when they use a word wrong. Now I am guilty of doing that and you can ask anyone who knows me that I do that often just because I have a problem when people are to lazy to use correct English. But I digress…. I  heard some crazy stuff from that  etiquette class like don’t ask someone how much they inherited from a deceased family member.  I thought “Who does that?” and this guy was like “Yeah did so and so get that BMW?” I guess people really do that sometimes. I hope that when I’m dead and gone I won’t have a problem when I give someone one thing then another person gets mad. I want to eliminate jealous people from my life before I die you know?

On a different note I am highly upset. There is this tour called the Decaydance Fest. Decaydance Fest is a tour with the popular bands of Decaydance, a vanity label of Fueled By Ramen which Pete Wentz owns. So I was so excited to hear that I mean it has Cobra Starship, The Academy Is… (I’m listening to their album Santi now), Gym Class Heroes, Panic! At The Disco, and the head of all heads Fall Out Boy. Now I know it sounds amazing and you’re probably thinking “Why is she mad?” well I guess the grass is really greener on the other side because they are going to Europe. I know that this is the Internet and sometimes someone reading this could be in Europe but I’m in the US. And I don’t plan to go to Europe anytime soon. So I am bitter my friend said “You’re just made that you haven’t seen them yet” and you know she’s right OK. I think that it’s crazy I think that Europe is great but here in The US of A we love them all more. Of all bands Cobra Starship should be the band that goes out of the country because Gabe Saporta was born and raised in South America so he should go to South America. But I mean FOB is from Chicago and TAI is from Hoffman Estates so I think that is like sad that they don’t want to go back home. Just Kidding but I wish I could be there because I bet it’s going to be a great tour. But Fall Out Boy is doing a Fall tour with Gym Class Heroes so that’s something to look forward to.

OK I have officially decided that when I become a journalist I am going to interview Stephenie Meyer (Author of The Twilight Series). I read about her writing process and automatically thought that she should be my best friend. But I have perfectly awesome best friends and she lives like across the country from me. So I think that I should interview her because her book Twilight was the best book I have read. I mean I liked A Walk To Remember but I think this is better because it’s outside of the box. It was full of new love unlike A Walk To Remember where the boy was to arrogant. So the fact that she built this entirely of a dream (I tried that before and it didn’t work so well) is amazing in itself. So look out for that in a little while I don’t know how I am going to do it but I will that I promise you. Just giving you a heads up. And I am going to a class about Etiquette and I will write about that maybe today or tomorrow.

Sorry you guys but I was volunteering at VBS (Vacation Bible School) and I literally just got back so here it is short and sweet. And I’ve decided that I’m changing it to review Tuesday.

Books

I found a new book called Bittersweet Sixteen by Carry Karysov and Jill Kargman I liked this book because it was full of friendship gone bad. I know it’s a weird reason to like it but I think that not all friendships stay true for a long time. This book is about a girl Laura who goes to a very posh all-girls school but is on a scholarship because she doesn’t live like the average ‘Tate Girl’ (Tate is the school that she goes to). Her friends Whitney and Sophie are obsessed with their Sweet Sixteen that they didn’t notice how valuable their friendship was. Whitney and Sophie tried to have a combined SS but it ended up that they really didn’t like each other so they started to plot against each other. They put Laura in the middle of a crush on a guy and a Party when all she did was help she eventually snapped (No duh). But it ended in such a way that the friendship was better but not miraculously mended.

If you like books about ghosts but not scary ones then you might like The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot about a mediator, someone who can talk to ghosts, that is being haunted by a guy Jesse who was killed in her bedroom in California. During this series she meets another mediator and talks to a ‘mediator doctor’ but there are very attention catching plots in every book. Mg Cabot has done it again.

Twilight By Stephenie Meyer is by far the best book I have read in my life. I know I have a short life but I promise you that you will love it or I will stop reviewing. So basically I found this book from my cousin who was reading it for school and she said it was OK. So I heard a little more about it but I didn’t really think about it anymore. I saw it a the bookstore about a week ago and LOVED it. It hadn’t left my hands since last night when I finished it. Twilight is about a girl named Bella who falls in love with a guy named Edward who is a vampire. But Edward and his family don’t hunt humans. Edward tries to stay away from belle but I he can’t deny what he’s feeling. Through the course of the book you’ll find yourself wanting more because it’s kind of vague. Vague enough to make you keep reading but not vague enough to make you feel confused. It made me cry and laugh and get scared but I loved that it was solely from Bella’s view. Like sometimes books say “meanwhile”… or “little did I know” but this book recalled just what Bella was feeling and seeing and nothing more.

OK well as you should know I recently put up a Fall Out Boy music video on my blog. It’s HERE!!! The Take Over Break’s Over is Fall Out Boy’s new single and music video. This video is my personal favorite because it has Hemingway(Pete’s dog) in it and he TALKS!! put’s a new meaning to ‘if dogs could talk’. I went through a lot to get it on this post I even had to delete my first draft but it’s finally here.

So the band said that this video is supposed to say “the idea behind it is pretty much the perception we all have of ourselves versus the perception the world has of us…. maybe its a bit more dimwitted as it involves a puppy’s perspective too.”(FOB journal June 15). I like it but I still think it’s a video that just brightens your day. It has like a bunch of different characters like a dancing Mailman and Josi and The Pussycats but it’s still cool. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Well I am OK but I need comments you guys. I mean it’s OK as long as you read the post why not post comments. OK I have decided that I need a unit for my reviews. For example the critics have stars and things like that so I have decided to use lounge chairs. I haven’t gotten the graphics yet but I’ll update you as soon as I get more info. So what I need are some music you want me to review I am soo open to any suggestions. You all should know by now that I am a HUGE Fall Out Boy fan so you will see some of their stuff  and some of the bands that are on their label like Panic! At The Disco or Plain White Ts so look out for some of those and some books by Meg Cabot because I like her a lot. Oh Yeah I went to Barnes And Nobles and they had Good Charlotte and I think that will be a good one to review. I have been doing a lot of volunteer stuff like today I helped an Elder (not an elderly person but you know the title) with multimedia and between today and yesterday I have like 10 hours! I have just decided that on September 1st I am going to review all of FOB’s (Fall Out Boy as if you didn’t know that already) albums  because that’s their lead guitarist’s birthday and I would have done it earlier all the other guys b-days were on June 5th (Pete bassist) April 27th (Patrick’s singer) and May 30th (Andy drummer) so this is the oppurtunity. So I WANT suggestions on bands music of all sorts and books  :grin: and thank you to all the people who commented I felt so special LOL :lol: now more news. I go to these classes and my church and I played this game where you have like six pieces of paper depending on how many players there are. Then the object is to move the whole team without steppping on something that’s non-paper it was so much fun. And the two Elder’s that taught were married and had me cracking up through the whole class so I had a blast. More On that later

OK so books are for reading DUH! But if you don’t like books then you won’t read them. so Here are some books that I like to read or have read:

If you like Harry Potter You May Like Charlie Bone By Jenny Nimmo. OK Charlie Bone is about this kid who can go into pictures and paintings. But unlike Harry Potter he was born with it instead of using a wand Charlie just uses his brain. He attends a school like hogwarts with his evil aunts and headmaster. his main mission is to find is mysteriously missing father and what happened to him.

If you like The Clique, Or Gossip Girl then you might like Bass Ackwards and Belly Up By Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain. This book is about four friends who live an elite community where everyone goes to a great college and then makes a load of money. But one girl Harper doesn’t get into the college of her choice (NYU) but tells her friends that college isn’t for her she thinks that she needs to scope out her options and write the great american novel. So her friends decide to go after their dreams too. Between a girl who tries to ski professionally, a girl who wants to be an actress throw in one girl who decides that Harvard isn’t the place for and her boyfriend dumps her so she can travel the world. It is a lot of heartbreak but even more fun.

MUSIC

Ok now music is different then what our parents listened too in some aspects it’s better and in some aspects it’s just different.

If you like Hip Hop and rock but want it in one band the you should try Gym Class Heroes. With their song Cupid’s Chokehold they combine the Hip Hop and Rock into a perfect combination. With infectious sound and sometimes odd lyrics they are OK. Like Their song New Friends Requests talks of a “Myspace vixen” and it’s kind of i dunno odd I mean they said Quote “My Man Tom Hooked us up” so kind of odd but they’re abum The Papercut Chronicles birth songs like Clothes Off with the vocal stylings of Patrick Stump(Lead Singer of Fall Out Boy) and Shoot Down the Stars with the cutest music Video.

I f you like Plain White Ts and pure pwerhouse pop then you may like The Academy Is…They have a similar sound of kind of mellow Guitar and a high pitched lead singer not too high but high. Even if you don’t like their previous albums their new album, Santi, is a different mix of music with alot of new sound not a heavy as former albums with a new guitarist(Michael Guy Chislette) they have a different sound. Even if you don’t like their music you will prolly like them as people on their website they have this feature called TAITV and they have everything from their bassist being ‘arrested’ to a wacky Horror Movie Trailer they are cool people like William ‘Bill’ Becket, Mike Carden, The Butcher(not sure of his real name)Michael ‘chiz’ Chislette, and Last and my personal Favorite Adam T.’ Sisky Business’ Siska. Laughter is sure.

Hey everyone I’m Imani I’m Homeschooled and an all-around cool person. So I’m supposed to tell you guys about me and my life well I love LOVE music so if you don’t want to hear my constant quoting of music then don’t read on. Like Fall Out Boy says”Brother’s and Sisters put this record down/Take my advice cause we are bad news” from Our Lawyers Made Us Change The Title of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued so I mean there I go. Well I am suppose to be counting down to my sweet 13(no you won’t see me on Super Sweet 16) So I am gonna have some things like countdowns. Well I am gonna stop boring you and tell you things like what I like. I LOVE to dance, read, and listening and playing music. I am looking for Guitar suggestions so hit me up you know comment and stuff. Well I listen to alot of rock music I mean if you want music suggestions then I could give you them. So….. I think that I am really good about answering questions about homeschooling like I am sooooooo socialized. I don’t look at a wall or are like those kids on “15 and another on the way” if you didn’t notice they are like unsocialized. But I like to get out alot and I like to talk so you might find really long posts. I am encouraging EVERYONE that reads this to tell all the people they know it’s like awesome. I want traffic to inform the world about homeschooling as a whole.

So I have plans for this blog if I found out it’s a special month then I might change the layout. Like Breast Cancer awareness month it might be pink. Or music month then it would have musical notes. And I am gonna have a lot of music stuff like Fall out Boy’s(BTW I am a HUGE HUGE Fall Out Boy Fan)new video the “Take Over Break’s Over”(check it Out here came out and is AWESOME so that is going to be on here. And I like The Academy Is… so some of there stuff might be on here like Adam t Siska(their bassist) writes his blog posts with like a name drop of the day. You might now find that on here but maybe jokes aout his name cause the call him sisky or sisky business. Oh yeah I almost forgot I might have spelling error they normally aren’t that bad but try and bear with me cause i haven’t yet got this typing thing down.
